Environmental Issues

At Paint and Paper Library we understand the important role we play in ensuring that our products don't cost the earth.
We are committed to providing coatings formulated to be environmentally sound. All Paint & Paper Library paints are characterised by their low V.O.C (volatile organic compound) content, are completely free of Lead and Mercury and comply with stringent regulations for environmental protection and consumer safety.
Paint
We pursue a policy of continual assessment of energy utilisation and waste regeneration. Please note that in the pursuit of minimal environment impact and potential health implications, the solvent level of all our paint is within the officially designated LOW category of 0.3 % - 7.99 % by volume. The vast majority of paints we sell are categorised as having a VERY LOW solvent content, of under 0.3 % by volume. Some of the stronger colours may contain slightly more VOC's falling into the LOW designation 0.3 % - 7.99%.
Wallpaper
The ink system we use is 100% water based and the paper is sourced strictly from certified Forest Stewardship Council sustainable managed forests. For every tree that is harvested, four are replanted. Additionally, none of our paper products contain formaldehydes.
